With a broad smile and no hesitation, the light-footed croonerlept off a bridge over a raging river – and he did it gracefully, ofcourse. He even managed an acrobatic back flip as he went down.

"Zac really loved his jump, he seemed to be having a reallygood time and was excited to make his jump, but he only jumped once,"an employee of Whistler Bungee said.

Zac och Vanessa sågs på LAX flygplats den 22 Maj när de kom hem från Japan, där Zac har varit och promotat filmen 17 Again.

Den 24 Maj var Zac i Santa Monica med en skateboard under armen och såg allmänt olycklig ut.

I mars sa Zac att han hoppat av remaken av Footlose, och nu är det officiellt att Chace Crawford (Nate Archibald i tvserien Gossip Girl) är den som ska ta över rollen som Ren McCormack.

"At the end of March, news sources reported that Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford was up for the role of Ren McCormack in the Footloose remake.

Usmagazine.com confirmed yesterday that Crawford will be playing the role that once belonged to Kevin Bacon. Paramount Studios is expected to make an official announcement sometime today.

Prior to the announcement that Crawford was in the running for the lead role in Footloose, Zac Efron was tapped to play McCormack. Efron backed out this March, opening the way for Crawford.

No official details are available for the rest of the remake's cast. However, it's rumored that Hayden Pannetiere, Amanda Bynes and Julianne Hough all auditioned for a part in the remake. All three ladies are very talented, and they have proven they know how to dance, so they would make a great addition to the cast.

In addition to Kevin Bacon, the original Footloose cast included Lori Singer, John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest, Chris Penn and Sarah Jessica Parker.

The remake will be directed by Kenny Ortega, who is famous for his work on the High School Musical movies. It is scheduled to be released sometime next year.

Zac åker snart till Vancouver för att börja inspelningen av den nya filmen som är baserad på boken The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud, som är skriven av Ben Sherwood.

Enligt Metro news Vancouver skulle filmen ha varit inspelad i Massachussetts men det har nu alltså blivit ändrat till Vancouver. Följande artikel förklarar det lite närmare:

The book explores the bond between brothers — one of whom survives a tragic crash and one who doesn't — that transcends life and death. It is set in a Marblehead cemetery, where Charlie St. Cloud speaks to the ghost of his dead brother, Sam.

"It's AWOL at this point," town Selectman William Woodfin told the Reporter of moviemakers' plans to film in town. Woodfin reported he had spent many hours talking with the film's producers but could not get them to agree to a Massachusetts-based set.

"We all have our regrets," Woodfin said.
